Over the centuries there were numerous other windmills in and around Swannington.  There was one near Hoo Ash farm, another at Windmill Close near current day Church Lane Bridge.  Thomas Kirby had a post mill near St George’s Church.  At various times there were other windmills around what was the Swannington, Coleorton and Thringstone border.
