  16. 16. Bernard Hodges – Bernard was incapacitated coal miner who for many years the parish clerk of Swannington Parish Council.  Bernard and his wife Daisy were both born in 1904 and lived in School House, Main Street.

  11. 11. Kath Pickering – Kath was born in the Tanyard in 1920 and later lived at Red Hill Farm when her brother worked there.  Kath married Sid James who served in the navy during WWII.  Kath used to be the Sunday School Teacher at the Wesleyan Methodist in Main Street.
